Uniprot Description
LAMTOR1: Regulator of the TOR pathway, a signaling cascade that promotes cell growth in response to growth factors, energy levels, and amino acids. As part of the Ragulator complex, recruits the Rag GTPases and the mTORC1 complex to lysosomes, a key step in activation of the TOR signaling cascade by amino acids. Directly responsible for anchoring the Ragulator complex to membranes. Also required for late endosomes/lysosomes biogenesis it may regulate both the recycling of receptors through endosomes and the MAPK signaling pathway through recruitment of some of its components to late endosomes. May be involved in cholesterol homeostasis regulating LDL uptake and cholesterol release from late endosomes/lysosomes. May also play a role in RHOA activation. Part of the Ragulator complex composed of LAMTOR1, LAMTOR2 and LAMTOR3. Interacts with LAMTOR2 and LAMTOR3; the interaction is direct. The Ragulator complex interacts with both the mTORC1 complex and heterodimers of the Rag GTPases RRAGA, RRAGB, RRAGC and RRAGD. Interacts with RRAGB and RRAGD; the interaction is direct indicating that it probably constitutes the main RAG-interacting subunit of the Ragulator complex. Interacts with MMP14. Interacts with CDKN1B; prevents the interaction of CDKN1B with RHOA leaving RHOA in a form accessible to activation by ARHGEF2.

Product Notes
The LAMTOR1 lamtor1 (Catalog #AAA153373) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The LAMTOR1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's LAMTOR1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). LAMTOR1 antibody can be used for detection of LAMTOR1 by Western blot at 1 - 2 mug/ml. Antibody can also be used for Immunohistochemistry starting at 5 mug/mL. For immunofluorescence start at 20 mug/mL. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LAMTOR1 lamtor1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LAMTOR1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
