Rabbit anti-Human KYNU Polyclonal Antibody | anti-KYNU antibody
KYNU, CT (Kynureninase, L-kynurenine Hydrolase)
Purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation.
Purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation.
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:50-1:100
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of KYNU Antibody (C-term) in NCI-H460 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). KYNU (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human lung carcinoma reacted with KYNU Antibody (C-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(KYNU Antibody (C-term) flow cytometry analysis of NCI-H292 cells (bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Kynureninase is a pyridoxal-5'-phosphate (pyridoxal-P) dependent enzyme that catalyzes the cleavage of L-kynurenine and L-3-hydroxykynurenine into anthranilic and 3-hydroxyanthranilic acids, respectively. Kynureninase is involved in the biosynthesis of NAD cofactors from tryptophan through the kynurenine pathway. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2010]
Uniprot Description
KYNU: Catalyzes the cleavage of L-kynurenine (L-Kyn) and L-3- hydroxykynurenine (L-3OHKyn) into anthranilic acid (AA) and 3- hydroxyanthranilic acid (3-OHAA), respectively. Has a preference for the L-3-hydroxy form. Also has cysteine-conjugate-beta-lyase activity. Xanthurenic aciduria manifesting as massive urinary excretion of large amounts of kynurenine, 3-hydroxykynurenine and xanthurenic acid has been observed in an individual carrying a homozygous missense change in KYNU (PubMed:17334708). The urinary pattern in the patient suggests kynureninase deficiency and a block in the conversion of kynurenine and 3-hydroxykynurenine to anthranilate and 3-hydroxyanthranilate, respectively. Belongs to the kynureninase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The KYNU kynu (Catalog #AAA625446) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The KYNU, CT (Kynureninase, L-kynurenine Hydrolase) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's KYNU can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:50-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KYNU kynu for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KYNU, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
