Related Product Information for anti-KLHL40 antibody
KLHL40 belongs to the BBK protein family; its members serve as substrate-specific adaptors that mediate ubiquitination and degradation of their respective substrates. KLHL40 is also known as KBTBD5 (KELCH repeat and BTB/POZ domain containing protein 5). The KLHL40 gene encodes a protein containing a BACK domain, a BTB/POZ domain, and 5 Kelch repeats, however, its exact function is not known. The gene and the multi-domain protein structure are conserved across different taxa, including primates, rodents, chicken and zebrafish. Loss of a muscle-specific protein, kelch-like family member 40 (KLHL40), results in a nemaline-like myopathy in mice that closely phenocopies muscle abnormalities observed in KLHL40-deficient patients. KLHL40 mutation associated with Cleft palate, nemaline myopathy and fetal akinesia.

Product Notes

The KLHL40 (Catalog #AAA8110211) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-KLHL40 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's KLHL40 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P). IHC-P: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KLHL40 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KLHL40, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
