Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

ISLR2 (Ig-superfamily containing LRR protein 2; also SST273) is a 100-110kD member of the LRR family of proteins. It is expressed on developing motor, sensory and interneurons. Mouse ISLR2 is 745 amino acids (aa) in length. It is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that contains a 571 aa extracellular domain (ECD) and a 132 aa cytoplasmic region. The ECD shows multiple LRRs (aa 21-231) and one Ig-like domain (aa 251-374). Mouse ISLR2 apparently has one alternate start site at Met130. Over aa 20-590, mouse ISLR2 is 89% and 98% aa identical to human and rat ISLR2, respectively.
