Related Product Information for anti-ITGB2 antibody
The small inducible genes (SIG) family encodes proteins that are involved in overlapping processes of inflammation, immune response, wound repair and coagulation. The SIG family contains two branches, designated CXC and CC, distinguished by whether or not the first two of four conserved cysteine residues are separated by an additional amino acid residue. The CXC SIGs map to human chromosome 4, including those encoding beta-thromboglobulin and platelet factor 4 (PF4), which are both expressed by megakaryocytes in a tissue-specific fashion and duplicated, there being a PF4 and a PF4alt gene, and a beta TG1 and beta TG2 gene. PPBPL1 (pro-platelet basic protein-like 1), also known as TGB2 (thromboglobulin, beta-2), belongs to the SIG family and is a CXC SIG protein, which contains four cysteine residues separated by a single amino acid residue. PPBPL1 is closely linked to other PPBPs, PF4s and several other CXC SIGs in a 700-kb Sfi1 fragment that localizes to chromosome 4q12-q13.

Uniprot Description

ITGB2: the integrin beta 2 subunit. Can combine with multiple partners resulting in different integrins. For example, beta 2 combines with the alpha L chain to form the integrin LFA-1, and combines with the alpha M chain to form the integrin Mac-1. Participates in cell adhesion as well as cell-surface mediated signaling. Defects are the cause of leukocyte adhesion deficiency type I (LAD1).

Product Notes

The Integrin beta2 itgb2 (Catalog #AAA3007125) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Integrin beta2 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Integrin beta2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Integrin beta2 itgb2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Integrin beta2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
