Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol in PBS and store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

IGSF4C (Immunoglobulin Superfamily member 4C), also known as Nectin-like 4 (Necl-4) and TSLL2, is a 48-55kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein that is a member of the nectin-like family of IGSF molecules. It is expressed in the brain, kidney, bladder and prostate. IGSF4C forms cis homophilic dimers on cell surfaces and mediates cell adhesion through homophilic trans-interactions in a Ca 2+/Mg 2+-independent manner. IGSF4C may also be a tumor-suppressor candidate in human prostate cancer. The mature 364 amino acid (aa) molecule contains a 299 aa extracellular domain (ECD) (aa 25-323) with three Ig-like motifs and a short cytoplasmic domain. There is at least one potential splice variant, which shows an insertion of 15 aa after Tyr309.
