Related Product Information for anti-IL-7R-alpha antibody
The IL-7 cytokine plays a major role in the in vivo maintenance of polyclonal naive and memory T cells, positively regulating the survival, differentiation and proliferation of thymocyte and peripheral T lymphocyte populations. IL-7 exerts its biological function through the IL-7 receptor which is expressed on pre-B cells, thymocytes and bone marrow-derived macrophages. The IL-7 receptor is composed of an IL-7 receptor-specific chain and the IL-2 receptor gamma chain common to the IL-2, IL-4, IL-7, IL-9 and IL-15 receptors. Soluble forms of the IL-7 Ralpha have been reported.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for interleukin 7 (IL7). The function of this receptor requires the interleukin 2 receptor, gamma chain (IL2RG), which is a common gamma chain shared by the receptors of various cytokines, including interleukins 2, 4, 7, 9, and 15. This protein has been shown to play a critical role in V(D)J recombination during lymphocyte development. Defects in this gene may be associated with severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID). Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015]

Uniprot Description

Receptor for interleukin-7. Also acts as a receptor for thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP).

Product Notes

The IL-7R-alpha il7r (Catalog #AAA856855) is an Antibody and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IL-7R-alpha (CD127 or CDw127) Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IL-7R-alpha can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC). WB: 1:1,000-5,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL-7R-alpha il7r for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL-7R-alpha, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
