NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor family of proteins. The encoded protein couples with the Gs alpha subunit and stimulates adenylate cyclase to activate the cyclic AMP-dependent signaling pathway. This receptor is thought to regulate cholinergic neuronal transmission in the brain. Several antidepressants and antipsychotic drugs have a high affinity for this receptor. Uniprot Description
5-HT(6): This is one of the several different receptors for 5- hydroxytryptamine (serotonin), a biogenic hormone that functions as a neurotransmitter, a hormone, and a mitogen. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins that stimulate adenylate cyclase. It has a high affinity for tricyclic psychotropic drugs. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Product Notes
The HTR6 htr6 (Catalog #AAA244405) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Polyclonal to Human HTR6 / 5-HT6 Receptor reacts with Gibbon, Chimpanzee, Dog, Gorilla, Hamster, Horse, Human, Monkey, Rat Predicted Reactivity: Mouse, Bat, Bovine, Rabbit (at least 90% immunogen sequence identity) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HTR6 / 5-HT6 Receptor can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin). IHC-P (10 - 20 ug/ml). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HTR6 htr6 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HTR6 / 5-HT6 Receptor, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
