Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse HSF2 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-HSF2 antibody
HSF2 Antibody
WB: 1:200-1:1000
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the HSF family of transcription factors that bind specifically to the heat-shock promoter element and activate transcription. Heat shock transcription factors activate heat-shock response genes under conditions of heat or other stresses. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2011]
Uniprot Description
HSF2: DNA-binding protein that specifically binds heat shock promoter elements (HSE) and activates transcription. In higher eukaryotes, HSF is unable to bind to the HSE unless the cells are heat shocked. Belongs to the HSF family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: DNA-binding
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 6q22.31
Cellular Component: cytoplasm; nucleus
Molecular Function: protein homodimerization activity; transcription coactivator activity; transcription factor activity
Biological Process: transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; spermatogenesis

Product Notes
The HSF2 hsf2 (Catalog #AAA7123805) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HSF2 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HSF2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). ELISA: 1:1000-1:2000 WB: 1:200-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HSF2 hsf2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HSF2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
