Related Product Information for anti-HNRNPL antibody
Heterogeneous nuclear RNAs (hnRNAs) which include mRNA precursors and mature mRNAs are associated with specific proteins to form heterogeneous ribonucleoprotein (hnRNP) complexes. Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein L(HNRPL) is among the proteins that are stably associated with hnRNP complexes. HNRPL along with other hnRNP proteins is likely to play a major role in the formation, packaging, processing, and function of mRNA. HNRPL is present in the nucleoplasm as part of the HNRP complex. HNRP proteins have also been identified outside of the nucleoplasm. Exchange of hnRNP for mRNA-binding proteins accompanies transport of mRNA from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. Since HNRP proteins have been shown to shuttle between the nucleus and the cytoplasm, it is possible that they also have cytoplasmic functions. Structurally HNRPL contains 2 segments of approximately 80 amino acids each which are weakly related to each other and to the ribonucleoprotein consensus sequence-type RNA-binding domains of other hnRNP and snRNP proteins.

NCBI Description

Heterogeneous nuclear RNAs (hnRNAs) which include mRNA precursors and mature mRNAs are associated with specific proteins to form heterogenous ribonucleoprotein (hnRNP) complexes. Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein L is present in the nucleoplasm as part of the HNRP complex. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

hnRNP L: This protein is a component of the heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (hnRNP) complexes which provide the substrate for the processing events that pre-mRNAs undergo before becoming functional, translatable mRNAs in the cytoplasm. Is associated with most nascent transcripts including those of the landmark giant loops of amphibian lampbrush chromosomes. Associates, together with APEX1, to the negative calcium responsive element (nCaRE) B2 of the APEX2 promoter. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: RNA splicing; RNA-binding

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.2

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; membrane; cytoplasm; nucleus; ribonucleoprotein complex

Molecular Function: protein binding; RNA binding; nucleotide binding

Biological Process: nuclear mRNA splicing, via spliceosome; RNA processing; RNA splicing; gene expression

Product Notes

The HNRNPL hnrnpl (Catalog #AAA6008424) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HNRPL, ID (Heterogeneous Nuclear Ribonucleoprotein L, hnRNP L, P/OKcl.14, HNRNPL) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HNRPL can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 1:100-1:500 ELISA: 1:20,000 Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 10ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HNRNPL hnrnpl for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HNRPL, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
