Related Product Information for anti-GSK3beta antibody
GSK3beta participates in the Wnt signaling pathway and is implicated in the hormonal control of several regulatory proteins including glycogen synthase, MYB and the transcription factor JUN. GSK3beta phosphorylates JUN at sites proximal to its DNA-binding domain, thereby reducing its affinity for DNA. It also phosphorylates CTNNB1/beta-catenin and MUC1 in breast cancer cells and decreases the interaction of MUC1 with CTNNB1/beta-catenin.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a serine-threonine kinase, belonging to the glycogen synthase kinase subfamily. It is involved in energy metabolism, neuronal cell development, and body pattern formation. Polymorphisms in this gene have been implicated in modifying risk of Parkinson disease, and studies in mice show that overexpression of this gene may be relevant to the pathogenesis of Alzheimer disease. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]

Product Notes

The GSK3beta gsk3b (Catalog #AAA191014) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's GSK3beta can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Western Blot: use at dilution of 1:500- 1:1,000. A band of ~46kDa is detected. Immunohistochemistry: use at dilution of 1:50- 1:100. Dilute in PBS or medium that is identical to that used in the assay system. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GSK3beta gsk3b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GSK3beta, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
