Uniprot Description

Function: Receptor for short chain fatty acids through a G(i)-protein-mediated inhibition of adenylyl cyclase and elevation of intracellular calcium

By similarity.

Subcellular location: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.

Tissue specificity: Detected in whole wall and separated mucosa in the distal ileum and colon (at protein level). By immunohistochemistry, immunoreactivity is localized to enteroendocrine cells expressing peptide YY (PYY). Ref.2

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Product Notes

The Ffar2 ffar2 (Catalog #AAA645747) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GPR43, CT (FFAR2, Free Fatty Acid Receptor 2, G-protein Coupled Receptor 43) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GPR43 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: ELISA: 1:1000 Immunofluorescence: 1:100-1:500 Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Ffar2 ffar2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GPR43, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
