NCBI Description

The adhesion G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), including GPR133, are membrane-bound proteins with long N termini containing multiple domains. GPCRs, or GPRs, contain 7 transmembrane domains and transduce extracellular signals through heterotrimeric G proteins (summary by Bjarnadottir et al., 2004 [PubMed 15203201]).[supplied by OMIM, Nov 2010]

Uniprot Description

GPR133: Orphan receptor. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 2 family. LN-TM7 subfamily. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; Receptor, GPCR; Membrane protein, integral; GPCR, family 2

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12q24.33

Cellular Component: plasma membrane; integral to membrane

Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway

Product Notes

The GPR133 gpr133 (Catalog #AAA8306807) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-GPR133 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GPR133 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GPR133 gpr133 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GPR133, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
