Related Product Information for ADGRD1 recombinant protein
Background: ADGRD1 (Adhesion G Protein-Coupled Receptor D1, also known as GPR133) is a Protein Coding gene. 4 alternatively spliced human isoforms have been reported. ADGRD1, an orphan member of the adhesion family of G-protein-coupled receptors, is a critical regulator of the response to hypoxia and tumor growth in Glioblastoma (GBM). ADGRD1 represents a novel molecular target in GBM and possibly other malignancies where hypoxia is fundamental to pathogenesis. Variations in the ADGRD1 locus are linked with differences in metabolism, human height, and heart frequency. ADGRD1 is a Gs protein-coupled receptor belonging to the class of adhesion GPCRs. The adhesion G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), including GPR133, are membrane-bound proteins with long N termini containing multiple domains.

NCBI Description

The adhesion G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), including GPR133, are membrane-bound proteins with long N termini containing multiple domains. GPCRs, or GPRs, contain 7 transmembrane domains and transduce extracellular signals through heterotrimeric G proteins (summary by Bjarnadottir et al., 2004 [PubMed 15203201]).[supplied by OMIM, Nov 2010]

Uniprot Description

GPR133: Orphan receptor. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 2 family. LN-TM7 subfamily. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; Receptor, GPCR; Membrane protein, integral; GPCR, family 2

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12q24.33

Cellular Component: plasma membrane; integral to membrane

Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway

Product Notes

The ADGRD1 gpr133 (Catalog #AAA8121976) is a Recombinant Protein produced from HEK293 Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Met1-Ser57 0. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GPR133, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
