Related Product Information for anti-GPR132 antibody
Probable G-protein coupled receptor 132 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the GPR132 gene. It activates a G alpha protein, most likely G alpha (q). GPR132 may be involved in apoptosis and serve as a mechanism for T- and B-cells, and other cell types, to slow their proliferation and repair damaged DNA to ensure proper replication. It is highly expressed in macrophages and hematopoietic tissues rich in lymphocytes, like spleen and thymus.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a subfamily member of the G-protein couple receptor (GPCR) superfamily. The encoded protein is a high-affinity receptor for lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC), a major phospholipid component of oxidized low density lipoprotein. This protein may react to LPC levels at sites of inflammation to limit the expansion of tissue-infiltrating cells. A similar protein in mouse is involved in cell cycle progression. Uniprot Description

GPR132: Receptor for an unknown ligand. Activates a G alpha protein, most likely G alpha(q). May be involved in apoptosis. Functions at the G2/M checkpoint to delay mitosis. May serve as a mechanism for T- and B-cells, and other cell types, to slow their proliferation and repair damaged DNA to ensure proper replication. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, GPCR; GPCR, family 1

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 14q32.3

Cellular Component: integral to membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; G1/S transition of mitotic cell cycle

Product Notes

The GPR132 gpr132 (Catalog #AAA9435036) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GPR132 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GPR132 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC). WB: 1:500-1:1000 ICC: 1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GPR132 gpr132 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GPR132, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
