Related Product Information for anti-GOT2 antibody
GOT2 (Glutamic-Oxaloacetic Transaminase 2) is a Protein Coding gene. 2 alternatively spliced human isoforms have been reported. The encoded protein is a mitochondrial enzyme that oxidizes glutamate to produce alpha-ketoglutarate for the Krebs cycle, eventually leading to the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). GOT2 belongs to the class-I pyridoxal-phosphate-dependent aminotransferase family. GOT2-mediated ATP synthesis may be a pivotal mechanism underlying the protective effect of febuxostat against neurodegeneration in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE). The high aberrant GOT2 expression is prognostic in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. GOT2 is broadly expressed in the heart, liver, and other tissues. Diseases associated with GOT2 include Epileptic Encephalopathy, Early Infantile, 82, and Acute Vascular Insufficiency Of Intestine.

Product Notes

The GOT2 got2 (Catalog #AAA8102866) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-GOT2 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat Predicted to React with: Cynomolgus (Species predicted to react based on 100% sequence homology) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GOT2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC-P: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GOT2 got2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GOT2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
