Immunofluorescence (IF)

(Immunofluorescence staining of GOLGA1 in A549 cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS,blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-Human GOLGA1 polyclonal antibody (dilution ratio 1:1000) at 4 degree C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green) and counterstained with DAPI (blue).Positive staining was localized to Golgi apparatus.)

Related Product Information for anti-GOLGA1 antibody
The golgins are a family of predominantly coiled-coil proteins that are localized to the Golgi apparatus. Golgins are present in all eukaryotes, suggesting an evolutionarily conserved function. Golgins are anchored to the Golgi membrane by their carboxy terminus and are predicted to adopt an extended conformation that projects into the surrounding cytoplasm. The GOLGA1 (also known as golgin-97) gene encodes a peripheral Golgi membrane protein that has both cytosolic and membrane-associated pools. Golgin-97 is recruited to trans-Golgi network (TGN) membranes by binding of its C-terminal GRIP domain with the small GTPase ARL1 and functions in targeting endosomal vesicles to the TGN.

Product Notes

The GOLGA1 (Catalog #AAA8109702) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-GOLGA1 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GOLGA1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB: 1:500-1:1000 ICC/IF: 1:500-1:2500 IP: 0.2-1uL/mg of lysate. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GOLGA1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GOLGA1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
