NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family. The TRIM motif includes three zinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1, a B-box type 2, and a coiled-coil region. The protein localizes to both the nucleus and the cytoplasm, and may represent a participant in the initiation of glycogen synthesis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013]

Uniprot Description

TRIM7: is a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family. The TRIM motif includes three zinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1, a B-box type 2, and a coiled-coil region. The protein localizes to both the nucleus and the cytoplasm, and may represent a participant in the initiation of glycogen synthesis. Multiple transcript variants have been found for this gene, and some of them encode the same isoform. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The TRIM7 trim7 (Catalog #AAA421009) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat anti-GNIP/TRIM7 Antibody reacts with Tested: Human; Expected from sequence similarity: Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GNIP/TRIM7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 32000. Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Human Skeletal Muscle shows pixulate staining in the fibres. Recommended concentration, 3-6ug/ml. Western Blot: Approx 25-30kDa band observed in Human Skeletal Muscle lysate (predicted MW of 25kDa according to NP_203128). Recommended for use at 1ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TRIM7 trim7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: QAPAGPPWDI TEA. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GNIP/TRIM7, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
