Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Related Product Information for anti-GSK3B antibody
Glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK 3) is a proline-directed serine-threonine kinase that was initially identified as a phosphorylating and inactivating glycogen synthase. Two isoforms, alpha (GSK 3A) and beta, show a high degree of amino acid homology. GSK 3B is involved in energy metabolism, neuronal cell development, and body pattern formation. GSK 3B participates in the Wnt signaling pathway and has been implicated in the hormonal control of several regulatory proteins including glycogen synthase, MYB and the transcription factor JUN. GSK 3B phosphorylates JUN at sites proximal to its DNA-binding domain, thereby reducing its affinity for DNA.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a serine-threonine kinase, belonging to the glycogen synthase kinase subfamily. It is involved in energy metabolism, neuronal cell development, and body pattern formation. Polymorphisms in this gene have been implicated in modifying risk of Parkinson disease, and studies in mice show that overexpression of this gene may be relevant to the pathogenesis of Alzheimer disease. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Product Notes

The GSK3B gsk3b (Catalog #AAA630608) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 beta, phosphorylated (Ser9) (GSK3b) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 beta can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence and Immunoprecipitation. Dilution: ELISA: 1:10,000-1:50,000 Western Blot: 1:1500-1:3000. Immunohistochemistry: 1:200-1:1000 Immunofluorescence: 1:200-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GSK3B gsk3b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 beta, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
