Related Product Information for anti-GABPB1 antibody
This gene encodes the GA-binding protein transcription factor, beta subunit. This protein forms a tetrameric complex with the alpha subunit, and stimulates transcription of target genes. The encoded protein may be involved in activation of cytochrome oxidase expression and nuclear control of mitochondrial function. The crystal structure of a similar protein in mouse has been resolved as a ternary protein complex.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes the GA-binding protein transcription factor, beta subunit. This protein forms a tetrameric complex with the alpha subunit, and stimulates transcription of target genes. The encoded protein may be involved in activation of cytochrome oxidase expression and nuclear control of mitochondrial function. The crystal structure of a similar protein in mouse has been resolved as a ternary protein complex. Multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

GABPB1: Transcription factor capable of interacting with purine rich repeats (GA repeats). Necessary for the expression of the Adenovirus E4 gene. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 15q21.2

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: protein binding; protein heterodimerization activity; transcription factor activity

Biological Process: regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; mitochondrion organization and biogenesis; transcription, DNA-dependent; organelle organization and biogenesis; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter

Product Notes

The GABPB1 gabpb1 (Catalog #AAA5311897) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's GABPB1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Western Blot (WB). IF: 1:100-1:500 ICC: 1:100-1:500 IHC-P: 1:100-1:500 WB: 1:1000-1:10000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GABPB1 gabpb1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GABPB1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
