Related Product Information for anti-Ga15/16 antibody
Background: Galpha16 is the only heterotrimeric G protein with a restricted expression pattern in hematopoietic cells. Differentiation of promyelocytic cells leads to decreased expression of Galpha16. The G protein is known to couple a large number of G protein-coupled receptors to PLC-beta and can lead to production of the secondary messengers diacylglycerol and inositol phosphates. Targeted deletion of Galpha15, a mouse orthologue of human Galpha16, causes reduced C5alpha receptor signaling. Galpha16 serves as a marker, in addition to CD34, for hematopoietic progenitor cells.

Product Notes

The Ga15/16 gna15 (Catalog #AAA840543) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Ga15 / 16 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Ga15/16 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Western blotting (0.5-4 ug/ml) and in Immunohistochemistry (5-20 ug/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody detects Galpha15 in samples from human, mouse, rat, and rabbit origins. It also detects Galpha16 from samples of human origin. Reactivity to other species has not been determined. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Ga15/16 gna15 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Ga15/16, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
