Reactivity
Reacts with: Drosophila
N.B. Antibody reactivity and working conditions may vary between species.
Clonality
Polyclonal
Isotype
IgG
Specificity
Rabbit anti Mouse G Protein alpha 0 antibody recognizes the alpha subunit of murine Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(o). Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(o) is a 354 amino acid membrane associated protein of ~40kDa forming a heterotrimeric protein complex with beta and Gamma subunits. Two isoforms of the ? subunit are generated by alternative splicing with a single amino acid substitution in the immunogen sequence (a lysine for an asparagine at position 346), it is not known whether this substitution affects the binding to isoform 2.

Purified
Purified IgG - liquid
Concentration
IgG concentration 5.0 mg/ml (varies by lot)
Sequence
{C-}A-N-N-L-R-G-C-G-L-Y
Sequence Length
354
Applicable Applications for anti-Gnao1 antibody
ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB)*
Application Notes
ELISA: Minimum Dilution: 1/500; Maximum Dilution: 1/1000;
Western Blotting: Application Note: This antibody detects band at 39 kDa when used under reducing conditions against rat brain.
Perservative Stabilisers
0.09% Sodium Azide (NaN3)
Preparation
Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography on Protein G
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to the amino acids 345 - 354 of the native isoform 1 molecule conjugated to Keyhole Limpet Haemocyanin.
Buffer Solution
Phosphate buffered saline
Target Species
Mouse
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C or at -20 degree C if preferred. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 18 months from date of despatch.

Uniprot Description

G-alpha(o): Guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) are involved as modulators or transducers in various transmembrane signaling systems. The G(o) protein function is not clear. Stimulated by RGS14. Interacts with RGS14. G proteins are composed of 3 units; alpha, beta and gamma. The alpha chain contains the guanine nucleotide binding site. Belongs to the G-alpha family. G(i/o/t/z) subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: G protein; G protein, heterotrimeric alpha G((i/o/t/z)); G protein, heterotrimeric

Cellular Component: neuron projection; protein complex; membrane; dendrite; plasma membrane; heterotrimeric G-protein complex; intracellular; myelin sheath

Product Notes

The Gnao1 gnao1 (Catalog #AAA220900) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RABBIT ANTI MOUSE G PROTEIN ALPHA 0 reacts with Reacts with: Drosophila N.B. Antibody reactivity and working conditions may vary between species. and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's G PROTEIN ALPHA 0 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB)*. ELISA: Minimum Dilution: 1/500; Maximum Dilution: 1/1000; Western Blotting: Application Note: This antibody detects band at 39 kDa when used under reducing conditions against rat brain. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Gnao1 gnao1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: {C-}A-N-N- L-R-G-C-G- L-Y. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "G PROTEIN ALPHA 0, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
