Immunohistochemistry (IHC)

(Figure 2. IHC analysis of FPRL1 using anti-FPRL1 antibody (MBS1750734).FPRL1 was detected in paraffin-embedded section of mouse spleen tissue. Heat mediated antigen retrieval was performed in citrate buffer (pH6, epitope retrieval solution) for 20 mins. The tissue section was blocked with 10% goat serum. Related Product Information for anti-FPRL1 antibody
Description: N-formyl peptide receptor 2 (FPR2) is a G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) located on the surface of many cell types of various animal species. The human receptor protein is encoded by the FPR2 gene and is activated to regulate cell function by binding any one of a wide variety of ligands including not only certain N-Formylmethionine-containing oligopeptides such as N-Formylmethionine-leucyl-phenylalanine (FMLP) but also the polyunsaturated fatty acid metabolite of arachidonic acid, lipoxin A4 (LXA4). Moreover, FPR2 mediates responses to a wide range of polypeptides and proteins which may serve to promote inflammation or regulate activities not directly involving inflammation.
Protein Function: Low affinity receptor for N-formyl-methionyl peptides, which are powerful neutrophils chemotactic factors. Binding of FMLP to the receptor causes activation of neutrophils. This response is mediated via a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. The activation of LXA4R could result in an anti-inflammatory outcome counteracting the actions of proinflammatory signals such as LTB4 (leukotriene B4).

Uniprot Description

Low affinity receptor for N-formyl-methionyl peptides, which are powerful neutrophils chemotactic factors.

Product Notes

The FPRL1 fpr2 (Catalog #AAA1750734) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-FPRL1 Picoband Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat No cross reactivity with other proteins. and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's FPRL1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). WB: 0.1-0.5mug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin-embedded Section): 0.5-1mug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FPRL1 fpr2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FPRL1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
