Application Notes
Intended use:
This product is intended for use in precipitating and non-precipitating antibodybinding assays (such as e.g., ELISA and Western blotting and immunofluorescence or histochemical techniques); to prepare an insoluble immuno-affinity adsorbent; for labelling with a marker of the customer's own choice. Working dilutions in non-precipitating antibody-binding techniques may vary widely, but may be at least 1/1,000.

Characteristics:
The 7S fraction is prepared from the antiserum by ammonium sulphate precipitation and ion exchange chromatography. The reagents were evaluated for potency, purity and specificity using most or all of the following techniques: immunoelectrophoresis, cross-immunoelectrophoresis, single radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony), block titration, ELISA, immunoblotting and enzyme inhibition.
Immunogen
Ficin isolated and purified from fig tree latex.
Packing
IgG fraction 10 mglml, lyophilized from phosphate buffered saline.
Handling
Reconstitute the Iyophilised 7S fraction by adding 1.0 ml of sterile distilled water.
Dilution may be prepared by adding phosphate buffered saline. Avoid repeated thawing and freezing.
If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation and will not affect the performance of the product.
Diluted Solutions should be stored at +4°C, not refrozen, and preferably used the same day.
Preparation and Storage
Storage/shelf life:
Lyophilized at +4 degree C/at least 5 years
reconstituted at -20 degree C/3-5 years
reconstituted at +4 degree C/7 days

Product Notes

The Fig tree latex Ficin (Catalog #AAA573088) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti Fig tree latex Ficin reacts with Plant and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Fig tree latex Ficin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, Western Blotting (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemical (IHC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Fig tree latex Ficin for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Fig tree latex Ficin, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
