NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth, and invasion. This growth factor lacks the N-terminal signal sequence present in most of the FGF family members, but it contains clusters of basic residues that have been demonstrated to act as a nuclear localization signal. When transfected into mammalian cells, this protein accumulated in the nucleus, but was not secreted. The specific function of this gene has not yet been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2019]

Product Notes
The FGF12 fgf12 (Catalog #AAA6378481) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FGF12 (Fibroblast Growth Factor 12, FGF-12, Fibroblast Growth Factor Homologous Factor 1, FHF-1, Myocyte-activating Factor, FHF1, FGF12B) (PE) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's FGF12 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FGF12 fgf12 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FGF12, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
