Related Product Information for anti-FBXO31 antibody
This gene is a member of the F-box family. Members are classified into three classes according to the substrate interaction domain, FBW for WD40 repeats, FBL for leucing-rich repeats, and FBXO for other domains. This protein, classified into the last category because of the lack of a recognizable substrate binding domain, has been proposed to be a component of the SCF ubiquitination complex. It is thought to bind and recruit substrate for ubiquitination and degradation. This protein may have a role in regulating the cell cycle as well as dendrite growth and neuronal migration. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

Uniprot Description

FBXO31: Component of some SCF (SKP1-cullin-F-box) protein ligase complex that plays a central role in G1 arrest following DNA damage. Specifically recognizes phosphorylated cyclin-D1 (CCND1), promoting its ubiquitination and degradation by the proteasome, resulting in G1 arrest. May act as a tumor suppressor. Part of a SCF (SKP1-cullin-F-box) protein ligase complex. By DNA damage. Increases after UV irradiation, X-ray irradiation, oxidative stress (H(2)O(2)) or addition of the chemotherapeutic DNA-damaging agents etoposide, adriamycin, cisplatin or fluorouracil. Highly expressed in brain. Expressed at moderate levels in most tissues, except bone marrow. Belongs to the FBXO31 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Ubiquitin conjugating system; Cell cycle regulation

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16q24.2

Cellular Component: cell soma; SCF ubiquitin ligase complex

Molecular Function: cyclin binding

Biological Process: G1 DNA damage checkpoint; cyclin catabolic process; SCF-dependent proteasomal ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolic process; protein ubiquitination; response to DNA damage stimulus

Disease: Mental Retardation, Autosomal Recessive 45

Product Notes

The FBXO31 fbxo31 (Catalog #AAA9409538) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FBXO31 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's FBXO31 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FBXO31 fbxo31 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FBXO31, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
