Uniprot Description

FXR1: RNA-binding protein required for embryonic and postnatal development of muscle tissue. May regulate intracellular transport and local translation of certain mRNAs. Interacts with FMR1 and FXR2. Interacts with TDRD3, and with CYFIP2 but not with CYFIP1. Expressed in all tissues examined including heart, brain, kidney and testis. Belongs to the FMR1 family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: RNA-binding; Translation

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q24

Cellular Component: axon; costamere; cytoplasm; cytosol; dendrite; dendritic spine; membrane; nucleus; perinuclear region of cytoplasm; polysome

Molecular Function: mRNA 3'-UTR binding; mRNA binding; protein heterodimerization activity; protein homodimerization activity; RNA binding; RNA strand annealing activity

Biological Process: cell differentiation; muscle organ development; negative regulation of translation

Product Notes

The FXR fxr1 (Catalog #AAA2032490) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Farnesoid X Receptor (FXR) Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Farnesoid X Receptor can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Formalin/Paraffin, ELISA (EIA). Western Blot: 1:50-400 Immunohistochemistry in formalin fixed frozen section: 1:50-500 Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay: 1:100-200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FXR fxr1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Farnesoid X Receptor, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
