Rabbit anti-Human Factor VIII Polyclonal Antibody | anti-F8 antibody
Factor VIII Antibody BIOTIN-Conjugated
Immunoprecipitation: 1:200
Western Blot: 1:500
Factor VIII, along with calcium and phospholipid, acts as a cofactor for factor IXa when it converts factor X to the activated form, factor Xa.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes coagulation factor VIII, which participates in the intrinsic pathway of blood coagulation; factor VIII is a cofactor for factor IXa which, in the presence of Ca+2 and phospholipids, converts factor X to the activated form Xa. This gene produces two alternatively spliced transcripts. Transcript variant 1 encodes a large glycoprotein, isoform a, which circulates in plasma and associates with von Willebrand factor in a noncovalent complex. This protein undergoes multiple cleavage events. Transcript variant 2 encodes a putative small protein, isoform b, which consists primarily of the phospholipid binding domain of factor VIIIc. This binding domain is essential for coagulant activity. Defects in this gene results in hemophilia A, a common recessive X-linked coagulation disorder. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes
The F8 f8 (Catalog #AAA541644) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Factor VIII Antibody BIOTIN-Conjugated reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Factor VIII can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB). ELISA: 1:10,000 Immunoprecipitation: 1:200 Western Blot: 1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the F8 f8 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Factor VIII, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
