Related Product Information for anti-FABP12 antibody
Fatty acid-binding proteins, designated FABPs, are a family of homologous cytoplasmic proteins that are expressed in a highly tissue-specific manner and play an integral role in the balance between lipid and carbohydrate metabolism. FABPs mediate fatty acid (FA) and/or hydrophobic ligand uptake, transport and targeting within their respective tissues. The mechanisms underlying these actions can give rise to both passive diffusional uptake and protein-mediated transmembrane transport of FAs. FABP12 (fatty acid-binding protein 12) is a 132 amino acid protein that belongs to the calycin superfamily and fatty-acid binding protein family. Highly expressed in adult retina and testis, FABP12 may function in lipid transport. The gene encoding FABP12 maps to mouse chromosome 3 A1.

Product Notes

The FABP12 fabp12 (Catalog #AAA2561377) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FABP12 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's FABP12 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA). IHC: 1:25-1:100 ELISA: 1:5000-1:10000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FABP12 fabp12 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FABP12, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
