Rabbit anti-Human DUSP13 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-DUSP13 antibody
DUSP13, NT (M1) (Dual Specificity Protein Phosphatase 13, Testis-and Skeletal-muscle-specific DSP, Dual Specificity Phosphatase SKRP4, TMDP) (Biotin)
ELISA: 1:1,000
WB: 1:100-1:500
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of DUSP13 (arrow) using DUSP13-M1 Antibody (N-term). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the DUSP13 gene (Lane 2) (Origene Technologies).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma; HC = hepatocarcinoma.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Members of the protein-tyrosine phosphatase superfamily cooperate with protein kinases to regulate cell proliferation and differentiation. This superfamily is separated into two families based on the substrate that is dephosphorylated. One family, the dual specificity phosphatases (DSPs) acts on both phosphotyrosine and phosphoserine/threonine residues. This gene encodes different but related DSP proteins through the use of non-overlapping open reading frames, alternate splicing, and presumed different transcription promoters. Expression of the distinct proteins from this gene has been found to be tissue specific and the proteins may be involved in postnatal development of specific tissues. A protein encoded by the upstream ORF was found in skeletal muscle, whereas the encoded protein from the downstream ORF was found only in testis. In mouse, a similar pattern of expression was found. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants were described, but the full-length sequence of only some were determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
DUSP13: May be involved in the regulation of meiosis and/or differentiation of testicular germ cells during spermatogenesis. Exhibits intrinsic phosphatase activity towards both phospho- seryl/threonyl and -tyrosyl residues of myelin basic protein, with similar specific activities in vitro. Belongs to the protein-tyrosine phosphatase family. Non-receptor class dual specificity subfamily. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative promoter.
Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Cell cycle regulation; Protein phosphatase, dual-specificity; EC 3.1.3.16; EC 3.1.3.48
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 10q22.2
Cellular Component: cytoplasm
Molecular Function: protein tyrosine/serine/threonine phosphatase activity; protein tyrosine phosphatase activity
Biological Process: meiosis; spermatogenesis; protein amino acid dephosphorylation

Product Notes
The DUSP13 dusp13 (Catalog #AAA6473223) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DUSP13, NT (M1) (Dual Specificity Protein Phosphatase 13, Testis-and Skeletal-muscle-specific DSP, Dual Specificity Phosphatase SKRP4, TMDP) (Biotin) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DUSP13 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-1:100 ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-1:500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DUSP13 dusp13 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DUSP13, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
