NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes the D1 subtype of the dopamine receptor. The D1 subtype is the most abundant dopamine receptor in the central nervous system. This G-protein coupled receptor stimulates adenylyl cyclase and activates cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinases. D1 receptors regulate neuronal growth and development, mediate some behavioral responses, and modulate dopamine receptor D2-mediated events. Alternate transcription initiation sites result in two transcript variants of this gene. [provided by RefSeq]
Uniprot Description
DRD1: a G-protein coupled receptor. One of the five types (D1 to D5) of receptors for dopamine. The most abundant dopamine receptor in the central nervous system. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylyl cyclase. Interacts with calcyon.

The Dopamine Receptor, D1a, D1R reacts with Bovine, Porcine, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Dopamine Receptor, D1a, D1R can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Antibody Blocking. Dilution: Western Blot: 1-10ug/ml using ECL ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml. Coat with 1ug control peptide/well. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DRD1 drd1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Dopamine Receptor, D1a, D1R, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
