Rabbit diacylglycerol kinase, alpha Polyclonal Antibody | anti-DGKA antibody
Rabbit anti-human diacylglycerol kinase, alpha 80kDa polyclonal Antibody
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the eukaryotic diacylglycerol kinase family. It acts as a modulator that competes with protein kinase C for the second messenger diacylglycerol in intracellular signaling pathways. It also plays an important role in the resynthesis of phosphatidylinositols and phosphorylating diacylglycerol to phosphatidic acid. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and four transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
DGKA: Upon cell stimulation converts the second messenger diacylglycerol into phosphatidate, initiating the resynthesis of phosphatidylinositols and attenuating protein kinase C activity. Monomer. Lymphocytes and oligodendroglial cells. Stimulated by calcium and phosphatidylserine. Phosphorylated by protein kinase C. Belongs to the eukaryotic diacylglycerol kinase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The DGKA dgka (Catalog #AAA719262) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's diacylglycerol kinase, alpha can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DGKA dgka for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "diacylglycerol kinase, alpha, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
