Related Product Information for anti-DHX29 antibody
DHX29 is an ATP-dependent RNA helicase that belongs to the DEAD-box helicase family (DEAH subfamily). DHX29 contains one central helicase and one helicase at the carboxy-terminal domain (1). Its function has not been fully established but DHX29 was recently shown to facilitate translation initiation on mRNAs with structured 5' untranslated regions (2). DHX29 binds 40S subunits and hydrolyzes ATP, GTP, UTP, and CTP. Hydrolysis of nucleotide triphosphates by DHX29 is strongly stimulated by 43S complexes and is required for DHX29 activity in promoting 48S complex formation (2).

Uniprot Description

DDX29: ATP-binding RNA helicase involved in translation initiation. Required for efficient initiation on mammalian mRNAs with structured 5'-UTRs by promoting efficient NTPase-dependent 48S complex formation. Specifically binds to the 40S ribosome near the mRNA entrance. Does not possess a processive helicase activity. Belongs to the DEAD box helicase family. DEAH subfamily.

Product Notes

The DHX29 dhx29 (Catalog #AAA619994) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DHX29 (DEAH (Asp-Glu-Ala-His) Box 29, DDX29, FLJ21492, Nucleic acid helicase DDX) reacts with Human, Monkey, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DHX29 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot. Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000. Incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% w/v BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4 degree C with gentle shaking, overnight. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DHX29 dhx29 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DHX29, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
