Related Product Information for anti-RASD1 antibody
Dexras1 (Ras dexamethasone induced 1) belongs to the Ras superfamily of GTPases and was initially identified as a dexamethasone inducible gene (1,2). Dexras1 reportedly regulates several distinct signal transduction pathways, including MAPK signaling, NMDA receptor-nitric oxide-mediated signaling, and pathways involving adenylyl cyclases (3-5). Dexras1 can directly modulate FE65-APP-mediated transcription and regulate the photic sensitivity of the mammalian circadian clock (6,7).

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the Ras superfamily of small GTPases and is induced by dexamethasone. The protein is an activator of G-protein signaling and acts as a direct nucleotide exchange factor for Gi-Go proteins. This protein interacts with the neuronal nitric oxide adaptor protein CAPON, and a nuclear adaptor protein FE65 which interacts with the Alzheimer's disease amyloid precursor protein (APP). This gene may play a role in dexamethasone-induced alterations in cell morphology, growth and cell-extracellular matrix interactions. Epigenetic inactivation of this gene is closely correlated with resistance to dexamethasone in multiple myeloma cells. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have beeen found for this gene.

Uniprot Description

RASD1: Small GTPase. Negatively regulates the transcription regulation activity of the APBB1/FE65-APP complex via its interaction with APBB1/FE65. Forms a ternary complex with CAPON and NOS1. Component of a complex, at least composed of APBB1, RASD1/DEXRAS1 and APP. Interacts with APBB1/FE65. By dexamethasone. Expressed in a variety of tissues including heart, cardiovascular tissues, brain, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney, pancreas, gastrointestinal and reproductive tissues. Belongs to the small GTPase superfamily. RasD family.

Protein type: G protein; G protein, monomeric; G protein, monomeric, RasD

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17p11.2

Cellular Component: perinuclear region of cytoplasm; plasma membrane; nucleus

Molecular Function: GTPase activity; GTP binding

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; metabolic process; small GTPase mediated signal transduction; negative regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; signal transduction; nitric oxide mediated signal transduction

Product Notes

The RASD1 rasd1 (Catalog #AAA620172) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Dexras1 (Ras dexamethasone induced 1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Dexras1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot. Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000. Incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% w/v BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4 degree C with gentle shaking, overnight. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RASD1 rasd1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Dexras1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
