Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse CRTC1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-CRTC1 antibody
CRTC1 Antibody
Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
IHC: 1:50-1:200
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of CRTC1 expression in Fetal brain lysate; C6 cell lysate, The lane on the left is treated with the antigen-specific peptide.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(MBS9603929 at 1/100 staining Mouse muscle tissue by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22 degree C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary.)
Subunit Structure: Binds, as a tetramer, through its N-terminal region, with the bZIP domain of CREB1 (PubMed:14536081). 'Arg-314' in the bZIP domain of CREB1 is essential for this interaction (PubMed:14536081). Interaction, via its C-terminal, with TAF4, enhances recruitment of TAF4 to CREB1 (PubMed:14536081). Binds HTLV1 Tax. Interacts with 14-3-3 proteins (By similarity).
Post-translational Modifications: Phosphorylation/dephosphorylation states of Ser-151 are required for regulating transduction of CREB activity. TORCs are inactive when phosphorylated, and active when dephosphorylated at this site. This primary site of phosphorylation is mediated by SIKs (SIK1 and SIK2), is regulated by cAMP and calcium levels and is dependent on the phosphorylation of SIKs by LKB1 (By similarity).
Similarity: Belongs to the TORC family.

Uniprot Description
Transcriptional coactivator for CREB1 which activates transcription through both consensus and variant cAMP response element (CRE) sites. Acts as a coactivator, in the SIK/TORC signaling pathway, being active when dephosphorylated and acts independently of CREB1 'Ser-133' phosphorylation. Enhances the interaction of CREB1 with TAF4. Regulates the expression of specific CREB-activated genes such as the steroidogenic gene, StAR. Potent coactivator of PGC1alpha and inducer of mitochondrial biogenesis in muscle cells. In the hippocampus, involved in late-phase long-term potentiation (L-LTP) maintenance at the Schaffer collateral-CA1 synapses. May be required for dendritic growth of developing cortical neurons (). In concert with SIK1, regulates the light-induced entrainment of the circadian clock. In response to light stimulus, coactivates the CREB-mediated transcription of PER1 which plays an important role in the photic entrainment of the circadian clock.

Product Notes
The CRTC1 crtc1 (Catalog #AAA9603929) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CRTC1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CRTC1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CRTC1 crtc1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CRTC1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
