Related Product Information for anti-CREB1 antibody
Cyclic AMP Response Element Binding protein (CREB) is a basic / leucine zipper transcription factor that binds the cyclic AMP response element (CRE) and activates transcription in response to a variety of extracellular signals including neurotransmitters, hormones, membrane depolarization, and growth and neurotrophic factors. CREB is also regulated by DNA-damaging stimuli and is directly phosphorylated on Ser-121 by the ataxia-telangiectasia-mutated protein kinase, ATM in response to ionizing radiation.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a transcription factor that is a member of the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins. This protein binds as a homodimer to the cAMP-responsive element, an octameric palindrome. The protein is phosphorylated by several protein kinases, and induces transcription of genes in response to hormonal stimulation of the cAMP pathway. Alternate splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

CREB: a transcription factor of the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins. Binds as a homodimer to the cAMP-responsive element (CRE). Phosphorylated by several protein kinases, and induces transcription of genes in response to hormonal stimulation of the cAMP pathway. Two splice-variant isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The CREB1 (Catalog #AAA631087) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CREB, phosphorylated (Ser121) (CBP, CREBBP, CREB binding protein, cAMP Response Element Binding Protein, RTS, RSTS, Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CREB can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CREB1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CREB, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
