Coat proteins (COPs), including the major types clathrin, COPI and COPII, play a considerable role in intracellular transport by initiating the formation of transport vesicles. The coatomer protein complex subunit beta 2 (COPB2), also known as beta prime-COP or beta-Cop, is one of the seven subunits that form coatomer complex I. COPB2 serves as a mediator in the process of protein synthesis which transports proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) to the Golgi apparatus. The upregulation of COPB2 in breast cancer is associated with age and lymph node metastasis in a validated cohort and promotes tumor cell proliferation and invasion. COPB2 is an oncogene in many cancer types. The upregulation of COPB2 in breast cancer is associated with age and lymph node metastasis in a validated cohort and promotes tumor cell proliferation and invasion. COPB2 could be a potential target gene in prostate cancer. COPB2 upregulation in lung adenocarcinoma cell lines facilitates cell growth and tumorigenesis via upregulating YAP1 expression. COPB2 plays a key role in the proliferation and cell cycle progression of human RKO and HCT116 colon cancer cells. COPB2 might be a potential therapeutic target for the treatment of human colon cancer.

Product Notes

The COPB2 (Catalog #AAA8108343) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-COPB2 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's COPB2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC-P: 1:200-1:1000 ICC/IF: 1:100-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the COPB2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "COPB2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
