Related Product Information for anti-CHD1 antibody
Short Description: Our CHD1 antibody (pAb) was raised in a Rabbit host. It has been validated for use in Western blot; it has been shown to react with Human and Mouse samples.

Background: CHD (Chromo-ATPase/Helicase-DNA-binding) proteins, which are ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling factors implicated in RNA polymerase II transcriptional regulation, are characterized by the presence of a double chromodomains (Chromatin Organization Modifier) and SNF2-related helicase/ATPase domains. The CHD1/CHD2 sub-family of CHD proteins also contain a C-terminal DNA binding domain that recognizes AT-rich sequences. CHD proteins alter gene expression possibly by modification of chromatin structure thus altering access of the transcriptional apparatus to its chromosomal DNA template. CHD1 has been shown to interact with histone H3 trimethylated at lysine 4 (H3K4Me3) and also is required for the maintenance of stem cell pluripotency.

NCBI Description

The CHD family of proteins is characterized by the presence of chromo (chromatin organization modifier) domains and SNF2-related helicase/ATPase domains. CHD genes alter gene expression possibly by modification of chromatin structure thus altering access of the transcriptional apparatus to its chromosomal DNA template. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The CHD1 chd1 (Catalog #AAA388556) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CHD1 antibody (pAb) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CHD1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Applications Validated: WB: 1:500-1:1,000 dilution The addition of 0.05% Tween 20 in the blocking buffer and primary antibody incubation buffer is recommended to aid in detection by Western blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CHD1 chd1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CHD1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
