Related Product Information for anti-CD271 antibody
NGFR p75 or CD271 is a 75kD transmembrane glycoprotein consisting of an extracellular domain which contains four cysteine rich domains responsible for ligand binding, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic domain. NGFR p75 displays paradoxical functions when acting alone or with other receptor proteins. Working in concert with Trk receptors, it recognizes neurotrophins and transmits trophic signals into the cell. NGFR p75 is necessary for regulating neuronal growth, migration, differentiation and cell death during development of the central and peripheral nervous system.

Uniprot Description

Low affinity receptor which can bind to NGF, BDNF, NT-3, and NT-4. Can mediate cell survival as well as cell death of neural cells (). Plays a role in the regulation of the translocation of GLUT4 to the cell surface in adipocytes and skeletal muscle cells in response to insulin, probably by regulating RAB31 activity, and thereby contributes to the regulation of insulin-dependent glucose uptake. Binds to rabies virus glycoprotein Gs. Necessary for the circadian oscillation of the clock genes ARNTL/BMAL1, PER1, PER2 and NR1D1 in the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) of the brain and in liver and of the genes involved in glucose and lipid metabolism in the liver.

Product Notes

The CD271 ngfr (Catalog #AAA857122) is an Antibody and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD271 (Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member16) Antibody reacts with Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD271 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:2,000~1:5,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD271 ngfr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD271, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
