Related Product Information for anti-CCL7 antibody
Eotaxin and the monocyte chemotactic proteins, MCP-1-5, form a subfamily of the C-Cr or beta-chemokines, which are characterized by a set of conserved adjacent cysteines. MCPs are produced by a variety of cells, including T lymphocytes, subsequent to their activation with cytokines such as IL-1, TNFalpha, and IFN-gamma. In vitro studies have shown that the MCP isoforms exhibit their chemotactic effects on different subpopulations of lymphocytes. MCP-3 has been shown to have the broadest range of influence, activating monocytes, dendritic cells, lymphocytes, NK cells, eosinophils, basophils and neutrophils.

Uniprot Description

CCL7: Chemotactic factor that attracts monocytes and eosinophils, but not neutrophils. Augments monocyte anti-tumor activity. Also induces the release of gelatinase B. This protein can bind heparin. Binds to CCR1, CCR2 and CCR3. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.

Protein type: Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17q11.2-q12

Cellular Component: extracellular space; extracellular region

Molecular Function: heparin binding; CCR1 chemokine receptor binding; CCR2 chemokine receptor binding; chemokine activity

Biological Process: cellular calcium ion homeostasis; regulation of cell shape; monocyte chemotaxis; cell-cell signaling; eosinophil chemotaxis; response to gamma radiation; cytoskeleton organization and biogenesis; immune response; inflammatory response; chemotaxis; signal transduction; positive regulation of cell migration

Product Notes

The CCL7 ccl7 (Catalog #AAA3007157) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CCL7 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CCL7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCL7 ccl7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCL7, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
