NCBI Description

mediates monocyte and neutrophil chemotaxis; may play a role in the pathogenesis of acute lung injury [RGD, Feb 2006]

Uniprot Description

Monokine with inflammatory and chemokinetic properties. Has chemotactic activity for monocytes, neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils, and lymphocytes. Required for lung TNF-alpha production, neutrophil recruitment and subsequent lung injury and may function as an autocrine mediator for the macrophage production of TNF-alpha which in turn up-regulates vascular adhesion molecules required for neutrophil influx. This protein binds heparin.

Product Notes

The CCL3 ccl3 (Catalog #AAA6460715) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CCL3 (C C Motif Chemokine 3, CCL 3, CCL3_HUMAN, Chemokine C C Motif Ligand 3, Chemokine CC Motif Ligand 3, G0/G1 Switch Regulatory Protein 19 1, G0/G1 Switch Regulatory Protein 19-1, G0S19 1, G0S19 1 Protein, Heparin Binding Chemotaxis Protein, L2G25B, LD reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CCL3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB: 0.1-0.5ug/ml, the detection limit is ~1ng/lane under reducing conditions. ELISA: 0.1-0.5ug/ml Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCL3 ccl3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCL3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
