Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of CBARA1 on different lysates. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% BSA in PBS for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody was used at a 1:500 dilution in 5% BSA at room temperature for 2 hours. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody at 1:5,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature. Positive control: Lane 1: Mouse kidney tissue lysate; Lane 2: Rat brain tissue lysate; Lane 3: Hela cell lysate.)

Related Product Information for anti-CBARA1 antibody
Key regulator of mitochondrial calcium uniporter (MCU) that senses calcium level via its EF-hand domains. MICU1 acts both as an activator or inhibitor of mitochondrial calcium uptake. The encoded protein interacts with the mitochondrial calcium uniporter, a mitochondrial inner membrane Ca2+ channel, and is essential in preventing mitochondrial Ca2+ overload, which can cause excessive production of reactive oxygen species and cell stress. Acts as a gatekeeper of MCU at low concentration of calcium, preventing channel opening. Enhances MCU opening at high calcium concentration, allowing a rapid response of mitochondria to calcium signals generated in the cytoplasm. Regulates glucosedependent insulin secretion in pancreatic beta-cells by regulating mitochondrial calcium uptake. Induces T-helper 1-mediated autoreactivity, which is accompanied by the release of IFNG. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The CBARA1 (Catalog #AAA8576985) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CBARA1 Rabbit polyclonal IgG reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CBARA1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunofluoresence (IF), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). WB 1:500-1:2,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CBARA1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CBARA1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
