Related Product Information for anti-CARD11 antibody
Rabbit anti CARD11 antibody recognizes caspase recruitment domain-containing protein 11 (CARD11), also known as CARMA1. CARD11 is part of both the membrane associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family and the caspase recruitment domain (CARD) family. CARD11 is involved in NF-KappaB activation through interaction with signaling protein BCL10.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family, a class of proteins that functions as molecular scaffolds for the assembly of multiprotein complexes at specialized regions of the plasma membrane. This protein is also a member of the CARD protein family, which is defined by carrying a characteristic caspase-associated recruitment domain (CARD). This protein has a domain structure similar to that of CARD14 protein. The CARD domains of both proteins have been shown to specifically interact with BCL10, a protein known to function as a positive regulator of cell apoptosis and NF-kappaB activation. When expressed in cells, this protein activated NF-kappaB and induced the phosphorylation of BCL10. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Involved in the costimulatory signal essential for T-cell receptor (TCR)-mediated T-cell activation. Its binding to DPP4 induces T-cell proliferation and NF-kappa-B activation in a T-cell receptor/CD3-dependent manner. Activates NF-kappa-B via BCL10 and IKK. Stimulates the phosphorylation of BCL10. Also activates the TORC1 signaling pathway.

Product Notes

The CARD11 card11 (Catalog #AAA225088) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti CARD11 reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CARD11 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Western Blot (WB). IHC-Paraffin: 1:50-1:200 WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CARD11 card11 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CARD11, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
