NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
S100G: calbindin D9K, a vitamin D-dependent calcium-binding protein. This cytosolic protein belongs to a family of calcium-binding proteins that includes calmodulin, parvalbumin, troponin C, and S100 protein. In the intestine, the protein is vitamin D-dependent and its expression correlates with calcium transport activity. The protein may increase Ca2+ absorption by buffering Ca2+ in the cytoplasm and increase ATP-dependent Ca2+ transport in duodenal basolateral membrane vesicles. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Cellular Component: basolateral plasma membrane; apical plasma membrane
Molecular Function: vitamin D binding; metal ion binding; calcium ion binding

Product Notes
The S100g s100g (Catalog #AAA617498) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CABP9K (D9K, CALB3, CABP1) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CABP9K can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Dilution: ELISA: 1:10,000-1:100,000 using 50-100ng C0104-60 Control peptide/well. Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000 using ECL. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the S100g s100g for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CABP9K, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
