Related Product Information for anti-ZFP36L1 antibody
Butyrate response factor 1 (BRF1; also known as EGF response factor 1 [ERF1], TIS11B, ZFP36L1) and butyrate response factor 2 (BRF2; also known as EGF response factor 2 [ERF2], TIS11D, ZFP36L2) both belong to the TIS11 family of CCCH zinc-finger proteins. This family of proteins, which also includes tristetraprolin (TTP), bind to AU-rich elements (ARE) found in the 3'-untranslated regions of mRNAs and promote de-adenylation and rapid degradation by the exosome. These proteins play a critical role in cell growth control by regulating the mRNA turnover of multiple cytokines, growth factors and cell cycle regulators, including GM-CSF, TNF alpha, IL-2, IL-3 and IL-6. Deregulated ARE-mRNA stability can contribute to both inflammation and oncogenic transformation. Insulin-induced stabilization of ARE-containing transcripts is mediated by Akt/PKB phosphorylation of BRF1 at Ser92, which results in binding by 14-3-3 protein and inactivation of BRF1.

NCBI Description

This gene is a member of the TIS11 family of early response genes. Family members are induced by various agonists such as the phorbol ester TPA and the polypeptide mitogen EGF. The gene is well conserved across species and has a promoter that contains motifs seen in other early-response genes. The encoded protein contains a distinguishing putative zinc finger domain with a repeating cys-his motif. This putative nuclear transcription factor most likely functions in regulating the response to growth factors. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

BRF1: a zinc finger protein that plays an important role in the assembly of the RNA polymerase III initiation factor TFIIIB. Regulates mRNA levels by targeting transcripts containing AREs (AU-rich elements) into the decay pathway. Phosphorylation by Akt apparently generates 14-3-3 binding sites and inhibits BRF1 from promoting mRNA activity.Contains 2 C3H1-type zinc fingers.

Product Notes

The ZFP36L1 zfp36l1 (Catalog #AAA610750) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Butyrate Response Factor 1/2 (BRF 1/2) reacts with Human, Monkey, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Butyrate Response Factor 1/2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF). Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Flow Cytometry. Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000 Immunofluorescence (IF-IC): 1:25 Flow Cytometry: 1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ZFP36L1 zfp36l1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Butyrate Response Factor 1/2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
