Related Product Information for anti-BRF1 antibody
This gene encodes one of the three subunits of the RNA polymerase III transcription factor complex. This complex plays a central role in transcription initiation by RNA polymerase III on genes encoding tRNA, 5S rRNA, and other small structural RNAs. The gene product belongs to the TF2B family. Several alternatively spliced variants encoding different isoforms, that function at different promoters transcribed by RNA polymerase III, have been identified.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes one of the three subunits of the RNA polymerase III transcription factor complex. This complex plays a central role in transcription initiation by RNA polymerase III on genes encoding tRNA, 5S rRNA, and other small structural RNAs. The gene product belongs to the TF2B family. Several alternatively spliced variants encoding different isoforms, that function at different promoters transcribed by RNA polymerase III, have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011]

Uniprot Description

GTF3B: General activator of RNA polymerase which utilizes different TFIIIB complexes at structurally distinct promoters. The isoform 1 is involved in the transcription of tRNA, adenovirus VA1, 7SL and 5S RNA. Isoform 2 is required for transcription of the U6 promoter. Belongs to the TFIIB family. 7 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Transcription initiation complex

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 14q

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; transcription factor TFIIIB complex

Molecular Function: zinc ion binding; TATA-binding protein binding

Biological Process: transcription from RNA polymerase III promoter; transcription initiation from RNA polymerase III promoter; tRNA transcription; regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; gene expression; regulation of mRNA stability; rRNA transcription

Disease: Cerebellofaciodental Syndrome

Product Notes

The BRF1 brf1 (Catalog #AAA2560437) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The BRF1 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's BRF1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA). IHC: 1:25-1:100 ELISA: 1:5000-1:10000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BRF1 brf1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "BRF1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
