Related Product Information for anti-BRD7 antibody
This gene encodes a protein which is a member of the bromodomain-containing protein family. The product of this gene has been identified as a component of one form of the SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complex, and as a protein which interacts with p53 and is required for p53-dependent oncogene-induced senescence which prevents tumor growth. Pseudogenes have been described on chromosomes 2, 3, 6, 13 and 14. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

Uniprot Description

BRD7: a bromodomain protein that binds dishevelled-1 (DVL1) and enhances Wnt signaling by inhibiting GSK3B. Interacts with DVL1, PTPN13, IRF2 and HNRPUL1. Associates with histones and E1B-AP5. Binds acetylated histone peptides, most notably H3 peptide acetylated at Lys14. Associates with histones and E1B-AP5. Its bromodomain is found in many chromatin-associated proteins and most known histone acetyltransferases. Inhibits G1-S progression by transcriptional regulation of molecules in the ras and Rb pathways. Plays an important role in transcriptional activation and chromatin remodeling. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Transcription regulation; Tumor suppressor; Cell cycle regulation; Histone-binding

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16q12

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: protein binding; histone binding; p53 binding; transcription coactivator activity; transcription factor binding; transcription corepressor activity

Biological Process: regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; negative regulation of cell proliferation; Wnt receptor signaling pathway; transcription, DNA-dependent; positive regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; positive regulation of histone acetylation; negative regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; cell cycle

Product Notes

The BRD7 brd7 (Catalog #AAA6278849) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The BRD7, NT (BRD7, BP75, CELTIX1, Bromodomain-containing protein 7, 75kD bromodomain protein, Protein CELTIX-1) (FITC) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's BRD7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:100-500 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BRD7 brd7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "BRD7, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
