Rabbit anti-Human Bmp7 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-Bmp7 antibody
Bmp7, NT (Bone Morphogenetic Protein 7, BMP-7, Osteogenic Protein 1, OP-1, Eptotermin alfa, OP1) (Biotin)
ELISA: 1:1,000
IHC: 1:50-1:100
WB: 1:50-1:200
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of Bmp7 (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal Bmp7 Antibody (N-term). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the Bmp7 gene (Lane 2) (Origene Technologies).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma; HC = hepatocarcinoma.)
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Immunofluorescence analysis of Bmp7 Antibody (N-term) in HeLa cells. 0.025 mg/ml primary antibody was followed by Alexa-Fluor-546-conjugated donkey anti-rabbit lgG (H+L). Alexa-Fluor-546 emits orange fluorescence. Blue counterstaining is DAPI.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a secreted ligand of the TGF-beta (transforming growth factor-beta) superfamily of proteins. Ligands of this family bind various TGF-beta receptors leading to recruitment and activation of SMAD family transcription factors that regulate gene expression. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate each subunit of the disulfide-linked homodimer, which plays a role in bone, kidney and brown adipose tissue development. Additionally, this protein induces ectopic bone formation and may promote fracture healing in human patients. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2016]
Uniprot Description
BMP7: Induces cartilage and bone formation. May be the osteoinductive factor responsible for the phenomenon of epithelial osteogenesis. Plays a role in calcium regulation and bone homeostasis. Homodimer; disulfide-linked. Interacts with SOSTDC1. Interacts with TWSG1. Expressed in the kidney and bladder. Lower levels seen in the brain. Belongs to the TGF-beta family.

Product Notes
The Bmp7 bmp7 (Catalog #AAA6465574) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Bmp7, NT (Bone Morphogenetic Protein 7, BMP-7, Osteogenic Protein 1, OP-1, Eptotermin alfa, OP1) (Biotin) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Bmp7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunofluorescence (IF), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). IF: 1:50-1:100 ELISA: 1:1,000 IHC: 1:50-1:100 WB: 1:50-1:200 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Bmp7 bmp7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Bmp7, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
