Uniprot Description
BANK1: Involved in B-cell receptor (BCR)-induced Ca(2+) mobilization from intracellular stores. Promotes Lyn-mediated phosphorylation of IP3 receptors 1 and 2. Genetic variations in BANK1 influence susceptibility to systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). SLE is a chronic, inflammatory and often febrile multisystemic disorder of connective tissue. It affects principally the skin, joints, kidneys and serosal membranes. It is thought to represent a failure of the regulatory mechanisms of the autoimmune system. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Adaptor/scaffold
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 4q24
Biological Process: negative regulation of translational initiation; negative regulation of protein kinase B signaling cascade; positive regulation of MAPKKK cascade; B cell activation; negative regulation of B cell activation
Disease: Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
Product Notes
The BANK1 bank1 (Catalog #
AAA6464923) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The BANK1, ID (B Cell Scaffold Protein With Ankyrin Repeats) (Biotin) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's BANK1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BANK1 bank1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"BANK1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
