NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a component of vacuolar ATPase (V-ATPase), a multisubunit enzyme that mediates acidification of intracellular organelles. V-ATPase-dependent organelle acidification is necessary for multiple processes including protein sorting, zymogen activation, receptor-mediated endocytosis, and synaptic vesicle proton gradient generation. The encoded protein is the regulatory H subunit of the V1 domain of V-ATPase, which is required for catalysis of ATP but not the assembly of V-ATPase. Decreased expression of this gene may play a role in the development of type 2 diabetes. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. Uniprot Description
ATP6V1H: Subunit of the peripheral V1 complex of vacuolar ATPase. Subunit H activates the ATPase activity of the enzyme and couples ATPase activity to proton flow. Vacuolar ATPase is responsible for acidifying a variety of intracellular compartments in eukaryotic cells, thus providing most of the energy required for transport processes in the vacuolar system. Involved in the endocytosis mediated by clathrin-coated pits, required for the formation of endosomes. Belongs to the V-ATPase H subunit family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The ATP6V1H atp6v1h (Catalog #AAA6370799) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ATP6V1H (V-type Proton ATPase Subunit H, V-ATPase Subunit H, Nef-binding Protein 1, NBP1, Protein VMA13 Homolog, V-ATPase 50/57kD Subunits, Vacuolar Proton Pump Subunit H, Vacuolar Proton Pump Subunit SFD, CGI-11) (MaxLight 490) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ATP6V1H can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ATP6V1H atp6v1h for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ATP6V1H, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
